Server code, cron, and jobs that run when you are not looking. Stub until the deploy path is solid.
A page that only exists while you have pnpm dev open is a demo. A worker is code that does a job on a schedule or on an event: poll an API at 6am, send a reminder, refresh a feed, run a report.
You do not need to learn operating systems. You need a paragraph the agent can execute: what runs, how often, where logs go, which keys it uses, what “done” looks like.
This thread is a stub. Finish Deploy and Env files first. Then we write: a tiny server route, a cron on Vercel or a cheap host, and how to see that it actually ran.
