Hi, I'm Austin. I've built software for 17 years. Now I help people who've never coded build their own tools with AI.
I graduated in 2009 with a degree in Applied Information Technology. I started out building the parts of websites you see and click, and over the next 17 years learned the rest: servers, databases, the whole thing.
Then Claude Code came out, and I fell in love with building this way. Problems that used to take me days now take an afternoon. Hurdles that took me close to two decades to get over, AI can walk you past in minutes, if someone shows you where to start.
Why I made this
A friend of mine wanted to automate his crypto trading on Coinbase. He had the idea and the motivation. He got stuck on the setup: the terminal, GitHub, where to put a secret key. Not the idea. The boring computer stuff.
Around the same time, I realized I live in a bubble. On X, it feels like everyone already knows how to do all of this. They don't. Something like nine out of ten people either aren't using AI yet or use it like a smarter Google. Lots of them have ideas and know-how that could easily become software, and nobody has shown them the way in.
Geoff Huntley's talk at AI Miami put words to it for me. There's a bridge between "I chat with AI" and "I build things with AI," and most people haven't had any help getting across. That's what this site is for.
What I build with AI
I build everything with AI now:
- pedscalc.com, a pediatric dosing calculator
- pedplot.com, a plotter that graphs how medication levels rise and fall over time
- My day job: all of my contract work is done with AI coding tools
- Websites for WordPress clients, built entirely with AI
- Trading bots that run on my own Schwab and Coinbase accounts
- Hermes, an AI agent I use every day
What I believe
You don't need to know how the engine works to drive the car. For years, building software meant learning to take the engine apart first. Now the AI handles the engine. You steer: what to build, who it's for, and whether it's right.
For about $20 a month, we've all been handed tools that can build nearly anything you can describe. What's missing is knowing how to use them properly. This site teaches exactly that: how to get across the bridge, and then how to keep going.
