Always-on
Updated Sep 10, 2026
A machine that keeps working when the laptop is closed. Hermes-shaped agents, scheduled jobs, optional VPN. Last on this board.
Always-on is not the homepage. It is the last room in Stack.
This is the Hermes-shaped stuff: a small box (or a host) that keeps an agent or a job running. Cron that is not tied to your laptop. A worker that is still going at 3am. A VPN only if you need a private pipe to that box.
If you start here you will bounce the same way people bounced on always-on-agent homepages. Get a URL. Get keys right. Get a worker. Then this.
Not written yet. When it is, it will be a paragraph you give the harness: what stays up, where it runs, how you know it died, how you restart it — not a CS course in Linux.
